Clemens Kuhn-Rahloff Research Associate

Clemens Kuhn-Rahloff studied sound engineering at the University of Applied Sciences Dusseldorf (Germany) and at the National Conservatoires of Music in Dusseldorf and Paris. After his studies he worked as a sound engineer and Tonmeister in music production for different radio stations (WDR Cologne, Deutschlandfunk, RTSI Lugano,...). At the IRCAM (Institut de recherche et de coordination acoustique/musique, Paris) he contributed to the EU-funded research project CARROUSO in the domain of wave field synthesis. From 2003 to 2009 he worked in business development for the audio technology company sonic emotion and is today a shareholder of the company. sonic emotion is developing technologies for spatial audio reproduction. Since 2009, Clemens Kuhn-Rahloff is teaching psychoacoustics and is working as a research associate at the ICST. For his PhD-project he is collaborating with the Institute of Audio Communication at the Technical University of Berlin.
